mourner After highly enjoying the free downloads of "In Manus Satanas" and "Thy Numinous Darkness" from the bands own bandcamp page this purchase was an easy decision. Aegrus just blow almost every other black metal band out of the water with their fierce, dark and melodic songs. Favorite track: The Carnal Temples.

Djevel Excellent EP, and possibly would be the best one this year. The only complain is that the infernal riff at 6:27 of Flesh and Blood should have been much much longer, absolutely haunting; but they could not change it here since it appears like this in Luciferian Engravings ... Absolutely LOVE Aegrus ... There is not even a single weak or mediocre song in their entire discography ... This might piss off some people but Aegrus and Sargeist are the best Finnish Black Metal bands at the moment. Favorite track: Moonlit Coffinspirit.

Late 90's BM worship, but it's also a lil more than that. This album takes the best elements from the scene it's inspired by and mostly avoids the worst of it; the song-writing is well-written, it's performed with passion and fun, and the production is raw but isn't lo-fi. (i.e. it doesn't obfuscate and/or suckass). Tl;dr It's safe but high quality BM. Recommended. Rabbit
